each moment in our lives, happy or hard times we can easily connect our emotions with a certain song. they say "the power of music." with the situation i am experiencing at the moment MUSIC played a major role in my recovery. these three songs particularly lifts my spirit. it brightens my day. it makes me smile. it transforms me to the confident person i was a few years ago.

1. THIS IS ME > Demi Lovato. "this is real, this is me. i'm exactly where i'm supposed to be now. gonna let the light shine on me. now i've found who i am, there's no way to hold it in. no more hiding who i wanna be. this is me."

2. JUST THE WAY YOU ARE > Bruno Mars. "when i see your face, there's not a thing that i would change, 'cause you're amazing just the way you are."

i wish someone will sing this song to me despite the failures and everything in between ;)

3. FIREWORK > Katy Perry. "baby, you're a firework. come on, let your colors burst! make them go. oh, oh, oh! you're gonna leave them falling down, down, down!"

I WANNA SWIM MY HEART OUT

before i went to Bohol i was sooo "manang" that i never thought the importance of having a swimwear. hehe. all i thought was i could take the plunge with my white shirt and shorts. i was wrong. and for the first time in my 30 years i bought my first ever swimwear (although i've been keeping one from relatives in the US, its still different when it is TOTALLY YOURS), in blue of course :) so, here i am now dreaming of having all the colors that is "bagay" to me:)

we all experience failure in our lives at times, mine was flunking the bar exams twice. it was a hundred times harder than nursing a broken heart. at first, i thought of sinking into the situation;

misery, depression, devastation,

TOTAL FAILURE.

but

at the sight of my mother

i saw hope, perseverance, patience, LOVE, understanding and more.

on bended knees

i prayed

to the omniscient and omnipotent God

for strength

to get by

and stand and walk (maybe just for the moment to reach my room).

it was hard to get up

but i MUST!

why i love BOHOL

i am accustomed of falling in love the first time i see a place. davao was love. cebu was love. and bohol is love. and one of the places i would like to visit again and again.

the beach - beautiful beaches in panglao island. i was speechless the time i saw virgin islands.
